Week 15

Sunday, April 7th

Big day/evening at church so here we are being silly before bed:

He's learning where his head is, I told him to put the glasses on his head like Mommy. (I was still wearing sunglasses).

Monday, April 8th

Went to Gee's house this beautiful morning to run around in her yard:

Si still isn't too sure about grass.

Tuesday, April 9th

We were supposed to meet some friends at a park today, but Levi woke up with a low-grade temperature and complaining that his belly hurt, so we played it safe and stayed home.  It was a gorgeous day so we still ventured outside.

Mr. Bed-Head doesn't look too happy this morning.

Enjoying the outdoors.

Giving brother a poke while Mommy is distracted with the camera.

 Tara watching over her boys.

Since we had an off day we didn't get to our regular Learning Time but we did read our next Character Trait for the week: Giving

Our big project this week is to do a big toy purge and give those toys to a family that we know that has a little boy. Levi is very excited about this and has started a couple different bags to give to him. Here he is in our bench in the Sun room digging around for toys to give away.

After nap Levi's temperature had gone down so he seems to be on the mend, he still isn't quite acting like himself, but that's ok. We took our dinner outside tonight for a picnic, good memories.

In the middle of eating his potato chips Levi stands up and comes over gives me a hug and says, "love you momma" and then goes back to eating. Wow, this parenting thing sure does leave me blubbering like a baby most days...

Wednesday, April 10th

Fun day at Gee's while Mommy went to the store, playing with snails and worms. Yay! (That was said in an extremely sarcastic tone). :) Nevertheless, I love when boys are being boys.

Thursday, April 11th

So as you can tell, Learning Time took a back-seat this week due to the weather. We are still working on our Giving trait this week and really doing all kinds of "learning" outside. That's what I love about kids they are learning no matter what you do!

Here we are this morning going through the toys to give some away.

Of course all these "old" toys took on a brand new feeling so it made it a little tougher than what he thought it was going to be.:) But, "it is more blessed to give than to receive."

Si getting in on the action in the closet:

This is our Learning Time today, outside "painting" with water while Si is sleeping. We reviewed letters and shapes and talked about evaporation, fun times.

 Painting a triangle.

 A circle.

Telling me the water is going back to the sky.

 Drawing ears on Levi.

Friday, April 12th

Forgot to do an 11 month old update on Si so here's the low-down on him these days.

Walking absolutely everywhere almost to a run now, it's unbelievable. He started saying "uh-oh" this week and loves to pretend to talk on the phone. Haha!

He's definitely becoming a little person now, not a baby anymore. He still eats everything, you can't eat around him unless you are going to share! He loves to laugh. He goes walking around the house just laughing and it's very contagious. Si is the joy of his big brother's life now. Levi gets upset if Si doesn't come in with me to get him up from a nap or in the morning. First thing he asks is, "what's Si doing"? Josiah makes us all smile!

John and I had a date tonight at Hawks' Nest State Park, the Jr/Sr banquet for the Bible college students. It was a beautiful night and very spiritually encouraging to this tired Mommy.

God knows and cares for me, He loves me and will guide me in this life, I just need to trust Him in ALL things.

I should know this, right? I do, it's just the daily living that can cause me to have faith like shifting sand.

Aaah, I love these mountains.

Saturday, April 13th

We just can't get enough of the outdoors this week. Here we are getting a little walk in behind my parents house while they are enjoying the kiddos...again.

We saw a fox and seven deer. The deer came extremely close to us, to the point where it freaked me out so much I spooked it on purpose which equalled an unhappy husband. :) Yeah, this mountain girl needs to get out in the mountains more.

Do you see the deer?                     Enjoying one of our old date spots!
