Turn that Frown Upside Down!

I used that expression a lot as a teacher and it sometimes would work, but it NEVER works for my own children. So, what do you do when you've had a week like mine with a sick and moody two year old and a teething 11-month old?

Turn on the music.

This is my go-to CD right now.

Something about this music has an extreme calming effect on both my children (and Mommy too). It's wonderful. Sweet words about Jesus and His love and care for us never get old, even to the little ones.

We've made up our own hand motions and dances to go with it and since the words are very simple Levi can even sing along. He loves how the songs are about Bible stories he knows and we go through the pictures in his Bible as we sing each song sometimes.

The songs are about Creation, Noah, Moses, David and Goliath, Daniel, and Jesus of course! I'm so blessed to have found this album through a friend's blog so I wanted to share with you.

Sally Lloyd-Jones wrote the words to the song, if that name sounds familiar it should she is a best-selling children's author including one of our favorite Children's Bibles:

This is the video that got Levi and I hooked on this music:

And here is another one of our favorite songs and a few hand motions we made up:

You can purchase the album here or through Amazon.

~Quiet music should be played LOUD.~
