Here is a Make-a-Rudolph game board. As you can see, Rudolph is missing his eyes and his nose. The students have to answer a question right and then are able to add a wiggly eye or a bright red nose to fill up their game board. The person who fills up their whole board is the winner; say "Rudolph"!
Materials:
Make-a-Rudolph GameBoard
Laminating sheets
Colored paper/pencils or crayons
wiggly eyes
red pom poms
Variation: Instead of wiggly eyes and pom poms, use a black and red dry erase marker. Wipes right off the laminated game board.
Print off the game board, either on white or brown paper. If it was printed on white, color the Rudolph leaving his eyes and his nose white. Next, laminate the boards and you are ready to play. (A sheet protector can work too if you do not have access to a laminator).
You can use letter flashcards, sight words or any kind of words to review; math facts, quiz questions, anything that your child or students need to review, this game board would work. For my kindergarten centers that I do, I will have them go ahead and draw in the eyes and then we will only use the pom poms to fill up our game board, due to time constraints and their attention span. It is better for 5 year olds to play a few times then just play one long game!:)

Another variation I plan on doing is to hide the CVC word cards around the room then have them look for them. When they find one, they can turn it into me and read it, then add a nose to their Rudolph. Before they can go look for another one, they will have to write a capital R and a lowercase r on a recording sheet. Got to get those kindergartners up and moving!
