Watching the storms today.

On our way to the beach!
We made it to Nags Head. We have one happy little boy! (And Mommy and Daddy too).
And no, we didn't bring Josiah along this trip. He has a Grannie and Pa back at home just eating him up. That little guy still needs his two naps a day and still puts everything in his mouth, the beach would have not been fun for him this year. Next year, though!
Tuesday, May 21st
Levi popped right out of bed at 7am yelling, I'm ready to go to the beach. (No need for an alarm clock)! So after a quick breakfast, we're back at it!
Playtime in the sand.
Finding a ghost crab. These little critters were every where.
Time for some R & R.
Levi enjoyed the pool even more than the beach.
The playground was pretty awesome too!
After naptime we had some more fun!
The pier.
The largest sand dunes on the east coast. These pictures from the phone DO NOT do it justice at all. It was like being in a desert.
Trust me, we were exhausted after this full day!
Wednesday, May 22nd
Fishing with Daddy this morning.
Adventures at the Lighthouse
Tried to take a few family pics on the beach. Interesting to say the least!
Come here Levi!
Thursday, May 23rd
Rainy day so we went to the aquarium this morning.
Levi loved the rescue the turtle section, he liked being Dr. Levi.
But touching "Mr. Ray" takes the cake. I think he could have stayed here all day with his hands in the water!
When we would come back to the beach house Levi would just vegg out by playing trucks on the couch for a long time and wouldn't even say a word. I think this quiet time for him was really important.
Friday, May 24th
Spent our last morning on the beach. "Sniff, sniff".
It was a LONG trip back home, taking wrong turns and Memorial Day traffic. Ugh. But so thankful for a safe trip back!
Here's Daddy entertaining Levi, yes that's every toy we had in the car in his lap!
Got back to the mountains and it was about 30 degrees cooler. Had to put the sweatshirt on this little boy and let him get some energy out!
Saturday, May 25th
Came back home to a beautiful rhodendron tree.
And our precious little boy, who was very attached to his Daddy.
And look who came for a visit for the week:
We are so excited to have Grammie and Grampy here!
